Board Development & Strategic Visioning
Strategic Earth has supported the Laguna Ocean Foundation’s Board of Directors in designing and facilitating annual strategic visioning sessions. This multi-disciplinary board, which includes environmental planners, scientists, professors, and community members, is unified in their commitment to the health of Laguna’s coastal ecosystems through science, education, and community involvement. Our team, in partnership with a planning committee, has designed each meeting to reorient the Board to its organizational mission, develop and/or revisit longer-term strategic plans, and establish strategies to accomplish short- and mid-term goals. Informed by the realities of a volunteer Board with no staff support, Strategic Earth has helped to develop tangible and realistic pathways to achieve Board priorities given capacity constraints.
