Strategic Earth supported the California Ocean Science Trust, California Department of Fish & Wildlife, California Ocean Protection Council, and California Sea Grant in executing a scientific peer review process of eleven technical reports from the baseline monitoring of marine protected areas (MPAs) in the North Coast region of California. As the North Coast Management Team, these organizations have led the design and implementation of state-funded MPA baseline monitoring. The technical reports present the data and results of these monitoring efforts. Strategic Earth facilitated the peer review process of technical reports by helping to convene a 1-day panel discussion, synthesized written and verbal comments on technical reports, developed panel consensus recommendations to guide principal investigators in the revisions of their reports, and conducted a peer review of revised technical reports.
