Strategic Earth provided strategic planning, engagement and communications, facilitation, and project coordination services to assist California Ocean Science Trust in evaluating a Multiple Stressor Ecological Risk Assessment (MS-ERA). Our team helped to design and implement a series of roundtable discussions with fisheries experts (fishermen, agency staff, academic scientists, and environmental organization representatives) together with interested stakeholders to explore the potential of an MS-ERA to support effective and adaptive fisheries management in California. Information gathered during this “pilot phase” informed the state’s effort to amend the Marine Life Management Act Master Plan.
