Strategic Earth, in partnership with Kearns & West, advised the Hawai’i Division of Aquatic Resources (DAR) in their efforts to develop a stakeholder engagement process design to support the state’s Marine 30×30 Initiative. The goal of 30×30 is to achieve effective management of 30% of Hawaii’s nearshore ocean waters by the year 2030. Considering lessons learned from other statewide planning processes, Strategic Earth worked with DAR staff to develop a comprehensive process design that considers stakeholder priorities at the state, county, and local level. In addition, Strategic Earth consulted on the development of an outreach strategy, which will guide the roll-out of the 30×30 Initiative.
