At Strategic Earth, we believe in the power of community and collaboration to drive meaningful change. That’s why we’re excited to launch our Community of Practice (CoP) series in 2024 – a journey into professional growth, collaborative learning, and fostering meaningful connections. Our CoP is designed to provide a space for compassionate individuals who are dedicated to building trusting relationships within their communities.
The Vision for Our Community of Practice
Our CoP is envisioned as more than just a set of sessions – we hope it will be a dynamic, collaborative space where professionals come together to share, learn, and co-create. We are curious about the value of a CoP centered on a shared commitment to engage with and empower the communities we have the privilege and honor to work alongside. Our goal is twofold: to provide a platform for individuals passionate about community to gather and learn together, and to foster collaboration with the brightest and kindest minds we partner with every day.
What is a Community of Practice (CoP)?
A Community of Practice (CoP) is a group of people who come together to learn from one another, solve problems, and develop new ideas or practices related to their shared interests and passions. In a collaborative nature, CoP members actively engage in discussions, share experiences, and exchange knowledge and resources. Our vision is to provide a supportive environment for members to build relationships and collectively foster innovative approaches to engaging with community through a trust-centered, heart-forward foundation.
We invite you to bring a beginner’s mindset and join us for each interactive session as we co-create a community rooted in Appreciative Inquiry, Non-violent Communications, Daring Leadership, and other modalities.
Upcoming Practice Sessions
February 28 | Establishing a Community of Practice
In our inaugural session, we’ll co-create shared goals and agreements for our CoP. Drawing from best practices and tools like Brené Brown’s BRAVING Inventory, we’ll establish a healthy group dynamic to support a safe and collaborative framework for our CoP and beyond.
May 1 | Building Confidence During Challenging Conversations
Join us as we practice developing skills in emotionally charged conversations, maintaining responsiveness over reactiveness. Explore self-reflection practices to fuel authentic connections with others and model scenarios in a brave, supportive space.
September 4 | Best Practices to Connect With Community
Engage with community leaders and learn about best practices for building meaningful connections and collaborations. Rooted in Appreciative Inquiry, these discussions will support constructive and solutions-oriented dialogue.
December 4 | Building Connection Through Appreciative Inquiry
Continue exploring the use of Appreciative Inquiry to build connections across diverse perspectives. Share case studies demonstrating how we apply principles from this modality to our daily work and evaluate its impact on strengthening connections.
Join Our Community
By joining our CoP, you’ll be part of a dynamic group where shared experiences, learning partnerships, and co-creation thrive. Registration for our first session on February 28 is now open. There is no fee required to participate, and we’ve provided space for an offering on a sliding scale to support our speakers and limit administrative costs.
