Strategic Earth supported the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) in providing an update to stakeholders on the development of a list of priority fisheries for management attention, in accordance with the Marine Life Management Act (MLMA) 2018 Master Plan. Through strategic planning, meeting coordination, integrated communications, and facilitation services, Strategic Earth helped CDFW to convene an informational webinar in Fall 2019 that focused on sharing information about a streamlined Ecological Risk Assessment (ERA) tool that enabled a more efficient implementation of the beginning stages of the prioritization process. Strategic Earth previously supported CDFW during the Master Plan amendment process from 2016-2018, and viewed the webinar as an opportunity to continue helping CDFW to strengthen its community and stakeholder engagement processes and outreach efforts through frequent information sharing.
